March Edition: Interiors I'm loving as of late
Inspiring interiors to get you through the moody month.
March is a month that always feels incredibly long and cold. You get a peek of fool’s spring for one or two days, yet the majority of each week still feels like winter. I’m drawing on that feeling for this roundup of projects — some are grounded in rich, earthy neutrals while some offer a burst of springtime color — like the fleeting hours of warmth on that fluke springlike day.

‘Stranger Things’ Co-Creator Matt Duffer’s Los Angeles Home
Years ago, Matt Duffer and Sarah Hindsgaul had come to the realization that their LA apartment no longer suited their growing needs. They had always admired the timeless elegance of Nickey Kehoe’s designs — so, when a new listing caught their eye—one that had already been graced by Amy Kehoe’s unmistakable touch—it felt nothing short of serendipity. Studio MUKA’s Los Angeles Home
A few years ago, Neda Kakhsaz and Zabie Mustafa, the husband-and-wife duo behind Studio MUKA, found themselves at a crossroads, unsure what to do with Kakhsaz's childhood home, which had been occupied by her late parents. The couple used the opportunity to explore solutions driven by concept as much as design. “Our home is a portrait of our collected histories and sensibilities. We wanted to embrace our Persian and Uzbek roots in a way that doesn’t feel like a trope. Our mission was to celebrate the ceremonies and rituals of our ancestral cultures while creating a home that feels revitalized,” Mustafa explains to AD. “We embarked on a mission to pioneer a new vocabulary of contemporary design, drawing inspiration from a host of far-flung influences.”

A Hamptons Getaway by Augusta Hoffman
For this project, August Hoffman took on the challenge of reimagining a home that was once the residence of renowned interior designer Robert Stilin. Originally crafted by Stilin in collaboration with Frank Greenwald Architects, the home retains much of the designer's signature clean, elegant foundation, including the charming tongue-and-groove paneling that runs throughout, lending the space a gentle, beach-inspired feel. Overall, the interiors have undergone a dramatic transformation, shifting toward a more intimate and moody ambiance.
